The trolls really seem to fancy Twinkle Khanna, who is pulled up time
and again for something or the other. This time the matter in question
is Akshay Kumar’s naval uniform from his film Rustom. Twinkle recently
tweeted that the uniform worn by her husband in the film will be put up
on auction, with all the proceeds going towards animal welfare.
Akshay Kumar was the first one to post details about the auction:
When Twinkle retweeted the same, she was mercilessly trolled, with many
users calling her insensitive toward the prestigious army suit and
asking her to cancel her’ cheap initiative.’ The Twitterati also trashed
the cause, saying the uniform was merely a costume Akshay wore in
Rustom and it shouldn’t be positioned as a prestigious uniform. Not only
this, Twinkle also received online death threats from Twitter users,
who took the matter too far. There was one such post from an ex-army
official that particularly angered Twinkle:
According to a report on The Indian Express, the auction has already
received a Rs 5 crore bid. Finally putting an end to all the rukus on
social media, Twinkle tweeted:
